Jo Baring

(Brand identity, business stationery)

A former Director of Christie’s UK, Jo has 20 years’ experience in the art world and is a member of the Association of Professional Art Advisors and the Association of Women in the Arts. She has curated exhibitions at public galleries and museums across the UK and has organised loans of privately owned artworks to The Royal Academy, London; Dulwich Picture Gallery, London; Hepworth, Wakefield;
Pallant House, Chichester; and Jerwood Gallery, Hastings amongst others.

The typeface used in Jo’s brand identity was chosen for its heritage and authenticity as it was based on one created in 1914 for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY. The traditional theme was continued with the use of black foil block printing juxtaposed with a bright modern colour palette.

The monogram is a playful representation of Jo’s initials hanging together bringing a contemporary feel to the identity to reflect her field of expertise. The bespoke logotype features a custom drawn letter 'R', the tail having been extended to create an elegant plinth to emphasise the letter 'I', the perfect metaphor for the ‘I’ in Integrity and Inform.
